We founded Great Divide Pet Food in 2013 to help give real people access to real, affordable, high-quality raw fresh dog and cat food.

It all started with cats.

In the beginning, we raised and would show Sphynx cats. Our litters were consistently much smaller than Judy’s litters (our co-breeder) even though Dena was a vet tech with access to all of the “best, high-quality” processed foods. Judy convinced us to try Raw feeding.

The improvement was astounding. Every litter was larger. The kittens were healthier. The queens bounced back faster. We never looked back.

A Community Built on Fresh Food

In the early 2010s, raw pet food was not readily accessible “out west”. We started flying a few cases Blue Ridge Beef from Georgia back home to Colorado, and before we knew it we were helping friends and neighbors to feed their pets a healthier fresh food diet.

It’s About Access

Now, over a decade later, we’re still fighting the good fight. We know how hard it can be to find the right raw food for your pet’s unique needs and keep it affordable -delivering to “hard to come by raw food” areas – consistently.

We’ve dedicated our lives to helping people understand how to incorporate raw feeding into their lives, and to help improve access to the best raw food without breaking the bank.

Would you ever consider eating your pet’s kibble? Probably not? We didn’t think so. Even within the raw feeding community there’s a lot of variation in quality between different manufacturers. 

Some very popular, very affordable producers are serving diseased, disabled, dying, or deceased animals (otherwise known as 4D meats) and are required by federal and state laws to DENATURE their meats so that they are NEVER confused with the human food chain.

We will not compromise on quality, and so we have done our homework. Each and every one of our producers is using only USDA-certified human-grade meats – never meats not meant for human consumption – never denatured and never 4D.

And on top of that, we have personally visited each and every facility in our supply chain and laid eyes on their processing practices to make sure that you’re getting only the highest-quality raw dog and cat foods.

  • When is your customer service team available?

    Our team is ready to help you during our regular business hours. Monday-Saturday 8:00am-6:00pm. We try to observe most major holidays. You can contact us via phone with call or text: (719) 310-5953 or send us an email: [email protected]

  • Do you have a storefront/retail location?

    Great Divide Pet Food does not have a storefront or retail location – all orders are placed online and then delivered to the scheduled pickup location that you choose. We order into and work out of a large freezer storage facilty that is occupied by several businesses, where we sort large pallet orders and load for specfic routes.

  • Can orders be changed or cancelled after they have been placed?

    In most cases orders CANNOT be modified or cancelled unless the order window is still open for your pick up location. You will have to contact us directly to modify your order once payment has been made. If circumstances prevent you from being able to pick up your order, please contact us directly so that we can arrange to either store your order (for a fee) or find an alternative pick up for you.

  • Do you sell individual items or only bulk orders?

    We mainly sell bulk orders to keep prices low. We sell a limited number of individual items, however these items are priced higher due to having to break cases, repackage, relabel and store remaining product. We also offer Starter Packs, which allow new customers try a variety of raw pet food before buying larger quantities.

  • What happens if I miss my pickup time?

    Please do your very best to pick up your order during your scheduled time. If you miss it, contact us right away. We’ll do our best to help you arrange another pickup, but options may be limited.

  • How do I get started with raw feeding?
